SS Dialer 130 SS I76 NP Fusion 5.0

Out for a little sesh by myself mid week keeping an eye out for bottle suits, mermaidens and on the comings & goings of Queen Mary 2 corona carriers to our little part of the world. I kept my didstance so Id not possibly become a carrier (too young to get knocked over by it) and plenty of cleansing swims when ever i had the urge to cough.

It was rather on and off with the 5.0 being way too small in the luls & down wind legs and a bit much in the squalls. up to 25 gusts i think the jetty had. I was really hoping for a Southly flat sesh to try flying gybes but that wasnt to be, oh well. Its been a fortnight since i last went out and it really felt like it too. I was wobbly and planing gybes were terrible and I could have quit after about 20min. My 2nd wind came and it all started to fall into place, i flew higher and further and harness & footstraps were in the right places. I seem to go SB tack upwind relly hard the port DW almost dead down. Almost parallel on my tracks. Ill try to reverse this next outing so im practicing to be an all rounder. I was coming back from the jetty and carving the best that i could when i went a bit to far... out of the water for yet another spectacular off! in fact my helmet exited the scene too. Found it quick and reattached it into place. Head didnt come off this time! LOL. I was doing a mix of uphauls & waiting in the water for wind to water start. Sometimes i gave up to do the uphaul which was quicker.

I came in to pack up then a gust on the beach presented so with a waterstart i was back out there! Im amazed that ive picked it up relatively quickly and the learning challenge has been great. Only a few more runs as the wind was dropping too often for the 5.0 so headed home to see the occy had returned, nope! All good, packed up and carried kit back home ready to dry out & put away. A cruizy 16.5km with a nice scary 2sec
