Port Douglas, QLD, AU

Super happy with that sail with the Mountain men and Latte Lads. Got the calll from King Latte himself, saying that there was breeze, the sun was shining and that the vistiters were arriving soon.

Ended up with a decent crowd this afternoon, Ed, Andrew, Rick, Jimmy and Ian - all very respectful and followed social sailing distance all afternoon !!! Started off being quite light and realised half way to the Solomon Is that I had over cranked the down haul and just had no ability to get up and on the plane in the 10-12kts of breeze that was on offer. So, we settled for a dredge back to the beach, watching King Latte boat back and forth. Quick release, raise the boom another 2cm, and back into it. You beauty, we were off and running. Sensational. Tide was still low, the waters no that mashed up as the breeze was still light but building. Now we were on 15kts, and it was just Devine. Good quality fitness sailing. Best sail since Xmas, oh wait....my only sail ;)

Then it really cranked home. 20 kts solid wind by this stage, late in the arvo. Time to call it quits before damage was done. Buggered now. Was planing on playing with the big kids at Green tomorrow, but me thinks I might sleep in.

Great catching up with a lot of members of the team that I hadn't seen for close to 8 months.

Port Douglas, QLD, AU 'Teddy Bears picnic' in Port..Was nice to see a good turn out at the beach today..Billy rang me at lunch time and told me to get my sorry ass down the beach..Wind was a bit soft so it was out with the big gear 117 ISO 7.8M no cam north rig haven't done much with this sail yet so i didn't mind having a bit of a play with it..Wind started to build so had a good fun blast on it..the rest of the boys were getting fired up..Andrew found his' Mojo' on his 125 fox and was looking good..Billy was sneaking way out the back think he was doing some sesious down winders so he could get something good on the smile dial..Ian sailed his butt off did really well hanging on to a big rig when the wind picked up great effort, as he hasn't sailed for ages..Rick came out and had a great blast on captain Kel old 107 iso .he is starting to bond with this board think he needs a couple more fins to get it dialed in and running totaly sweet..Wind freshened right up to a very solid 20 kts with some big gust coming through out wide..So every one decided to pack up.. James showed up for the late shift and went out for a blast on a rather small board with a 5m rig..So i decided to do something that i am usually way to lazy to do..Change rigs and grab another board..Rigged 6.5m servern turbo ln full crank down mode  and lit up my trusty 105 fox with plenty of fin just in case wind dropped a bit,but it didn't..had a great blast with james in a very choppy sea found him rather hard to catch as he always makes it look easy especially when the going gets tough..I just ran out of fuel in the end so it was game over by sundown...think everyone went home shagged but happy...Not sure who gets man of the match think it was all a bit to close...Guess it was worth rigging up for Cheers Ed..
