10-20kts plus S then fading to 10-18kts SSW then 5-12kts SSW - Valentine, NSW, AU

Should have got out earlier and rigged the big kit 1st up.

5.7m gator - 85ltre WT - 25cm Maui wave centre fin

 then 7.5m GT Turbo - Rs4 ( 111ltres ) - 39cms pointer then 43cm makani weedy

Looked pretty good when I got there. I really wanted to use a WT. I really need a larger WT it would have been perfect for yesterday..

I haven't used the WT for ages and it took me ages to put the 25cm USbox fin in..I started to rig the 4.8m but the wind had died to 10-18kts so I rigged the 5.7m.

I should have used the 7m on the WT or RS4 but I thought the wind might pick back up. Went out and shuffled along for a while. It was patchy and the gusts were only just enough to get going.

I have to gybe differently on the WT compared to the slalom boards, especially slogging. I was ok on starboard tack but useless on port..Undecided

Came in and realised the tail had been left on full flex from an earlier windier session so flattened out the rocker for earlier planing..It would have worked except by now the wind had dropped to 10-15kts..Yell 2sec of 16.5 on the WT.

Few runs but not enough so I came in and rigged the big kit. By then it had dropped to a very patchy 5-12kts  SSW -SW.

Ugh.. Only small chop but sloppy cross chop now  because of the wind direction had changed and there was only the occasional patch of wind.

I had problems with the Turbos boom cam popping off the mast. I came in once and rerigged it with more donwhaul and the second time I added a spacer. it might need another as it was still a bit lose.

Thinking it might be the last sail I would get for a while I milked it for all I could and slogged around for a few hrs..

Only one other like minded desperado on an older  Tabou Rocket.

Wore my winter wettie and boiled..

Still it was nice to be out on the lake . Smile
