Yunbas dawn sesh with my bro, almost. I rigged up at Yunderup, he rigged up at Nairns. I have all the boards in my trailer.… He de rigged at Nairns, and re rigged at Yunderup.

The breeze was post-frontal WSW - SW and typically all over the shop strength wise.

I went for the biggest kit to make sure I could get through the lulls. So when I first went out I was a bit over cooked, but as the morning went on it seemed the undercooked bits got bigger.

My bro took social distancing to a new level and made sure he was 1.4nm away at all times. Turns out he got a bit disoriented and sailed into the next bay north and thought he was in the right spot, until eventually the penny dropped and he worked back up to Yunbas.

After a week of using my brain I was seriously looking forward to a splash, so just about any sort of breeze would have done the job. As it turns out, any day practising flying the Barge on the FF28 around the paddocks is a Top Ten Fangy Day.

Did everything wrong, rigged in a gust and changed my decision to take out the 110l 65cm board with the 6.6, to the 90l 53cm 6.2. Hit the water in a big lull, gave up after 45min and then watched it pick up as I was down rigging. Still I did get planning once.
