1447 days ago 1 categories Port Douglas, QLD, AU Quick arvo blast with the crew Andrew and Mark.Rigged no cam 7m on105 Fox had a realy big tide running and choppy sea..Breeze was a bit up and down but stayed realy solid a couple of kms off shore..Andrew sailed well on big Fox with big rig he went home shagged but happy..Mark stayed in close and played around on new board he got from the Doc had a couple of good runs on it but wasn't game to take it out in the big pool in case he couldn't get home on it as it is a small board and if the wind dropped a bit he wouldn't be able to water start it with 6.5m rig...My session should of been better but i snapped the stainless steal bar on my seat harness where it locks in when you put it on. the hook is bent as well.did a bodgy repair wiith a spare down haul rope and had to stay of the gass for the rest of the session rope ended up snapping at about sundown so it was game over for me and time to limp home..'Was a bit pissed off.'..I have gone to a great deal of effort to get gear that doesn't break..The Severne free ride gear seems as good as it gets.New 105 Fox is really good not a crack in it anywhere and a great all round board to sail can't fault it in any way..I like my free ride Severne sails and haven't managed to break there Gorilla masts yet think they will go the distance..Not sure if i should mention it to the Severne crew that there harness 'Shit it self and died' it's only about 2 years old..What do you think..all good fun cheers Ed..

Such a beautiful session I had to myself up here in Latte Land. Ed's dealing with a busted harness - hopefully he can get a loaner while a new spreader bar comes. I had a ball - managing to squeeze in a bit more than an hour - no run in the tide - no weed to deal with - Isonic 133 - drake 44 - North S Type 7.8. Had a ball cruising around - blue sky, wind in the palm trees = all's right with the world.
