A mixed bag today. Looked good while rigging but hardly got planning for the next hour. .then just before we came in it came in a bit so we could get our money's worth..

5-12kts Sw then 10-15kts SSW few puffs 18kts plus Buff Pt Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU level 0.33m

7m M2OD - 87ltre iso- 21.5cm FF ( cutdown 24)

I decided to go to Budgy in case my shoulder played up. After some massage last night it's come good..Smile

Just me..pretty light at first so I just tried to get upwind to the deeper water .The 21.5cm was ok if I had wind but bottomed out occasionally subplaning.

I had a few fun gybes although I wasn't game to try too many in close in case I hit bottom. One powered up run that gave the 2 sec. Most of the time it wasn't worth trying to bear off.

No super flat water and the best bits weren't getting the gusts  but the strong patches  only had  c 4 inch high chop.

A nice sunny day , not too cold. I saw one small ray feeding with it's wings in the air..

I timed it perfectly to come in to have lunch and a rest as it died to 5kts soon after..

I almost ran over a dog on the way home..In our local 100km zone  a farmer was ready to come out of his drive. His red cattle dog had already crossed the road but he must have called it as it ran back across in front of me..I still don't know how I missed it! Lucky I have a cargo barrier as things flew everywhere..

I'd just let a ute pass me which was lucky as I'm sure he would have rear ended me otherwise..Undecided

Well that wrecked the laid back mood from the sail for a while..Undecided

Coal Point, NSW, AU, Southerly 12-18+

Had a real dilemma today, The forecast looked pretty good for Buffo with 25-30 predicted in the afternoon.

I had the car packed and ready to go. Sue was giving me minute by minute updates for Buffo, I was just having lunch when Lyds suggested a foil. So a play in the mud with Sue or watch Lyds try and redesign his sail whilst foiling.

I think I made the right decision.

I had a great foil up to Coalie then with Andy until yet another QUALITY Severne sail just literally fell apart in front of my eyes. Underneath the second batten the mono just ripped out of the stitching across the whole sail. Fun trip back home, bummer 7.0 M1 overdrive
