20-35kts plus SSW Buff Pt Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU Level 0.32m No weed

 4.6m KA Koncept - 70ltre ( 48) Patrick- 16.5cm FF ( cutdown 22)

Procrastinated and watched the others for 1.30hrs. I knew I'd be really overpowered..needed a <4m cammed sail..Undecided

Rigged the 50ltre but just before I went out the wind died down to 10kts for 10mins so I played it safe with the bigger board. Some big gusts but a bit patchy in close where the only flattish water was ( 4 inch chop).

I was in protective mode in the gusts but then bouncing along the bottom trying to start and my arms were getting tired. It looks like I could have borne off a lot more but I was expecting a monster gust on each run and was playing it safe . I'm hoping to be able to sail Lake Macqaurie later in the week and didn't want an injury...Tongue out

My arms were starting to give out so I went in..copped a monster gust as I hit the channel so I unhooked. I almost managed to  hang on till I got in but not quite..Laughing

Had some lunch and couldn't be bothered going back out. Not enough fun and I can't get decent speed in chop.

Rick , Andrew, George , Byron . It was Byron's  1st sail back after injury..certainly not an ease back into it gently sail..Wink

Bruce and Michael went out for the arvo shift. It had died down but was still getting some good gusts.

Pretty slack effort but I'm happy. I got out took it on and survived..Smile

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU

S2 venom 5.7, CA44, delta 16

First sail in way over 3 months after breaking my back and wrist on my push bike.

Water level too high so was not flat and i was very cautious and timid so happy realy with doing over 39 as wanted to survive so not pushing at all.

Was sweet jybing the little speed board again and pretty happy with alpha in those conditions.

Called it early as geting sore not sure when i will sail again see how I pull up on anti inflamatories now.

Great catching up with everyone today hope the arvo session is better as the water level is droping quickly so could be realy good.
