whoa that was fun! 8am at the carpark was empty and wind hitting 30+ NNE. Was 18C so nice and warm... I saw a rain squall coming so decided to wait it out... half an hour later the temp dropped to 13C and the rain wasn't stopping so I got moving.
Wind had mellowed out by the time I got going, but was enough to plane the whole time on 5.6m. Water was flat for slalom but not for speed. Fastest run was in a solid gust heading into the beach- chop was bouncing me out of the water so I unhooked in case... mental. Second fastest run was heading the other way- not as windy but water was also a bit smoother. Was raining most of the time but who cares it was windy. And I love using small sails (because that only happens when its windy I guess).
might get some more... looks like the wind is back in now... might see an edit coming.
