Nice early afternoon sail in some shifty conditions

My first sail for the financial year. Finally there was enough sun and warmth (and wind) to tempt me out onto the water but I almost didn't get there because the zipper on my board bag had corroded and I couldn't get the board out of the bag. Luckily I noticed this while I was still at home, with ready access to some vinegar. Liberal amounts of vinegar, some brushing and wiggling, and 30 minutes later the board was free. By then clouds were looming on the horizon but I set off anyway. There was a good 15 knots when I arrived, and someone said it had just picked up in the last half hour, so that time messing around with the zip did me a favour!

I had a lovely sail, though the fitness is well down so I only sailed for a short time. I don't want to seize up overnght! I was also on call and couldn't be away from the phone for too long.

It was lovely to catch up with a bunch of Pinnaroos again, and show them our hard won trophy.

A nice warm day with lots out. Water was quite flat until the time trial boats came out. Good to catch up with a bunch of Pinnas. First time to see the trophy up close.

Went to Bus stop for a foil.  Got down there around 2:30 and a bunch of guys were coming in after it had dropped off.

Went to rig my 76 wing, but I couldn't get the 65 wing off, the allen key bolt was stuck fast and repeated attempts to unscrew it were just rounding off the hex head 

So I persevered with the 65 wing, and rigged a 5.7, the breeze was picking up so I was optimistic.

Got on the water and the set-up was marginal at best.  Breeze came in for a short spell and I managed a couple of decent runs before it shut down.  Disappointing, cos there was some big windswell to play in, and I was looking forward to some epic downwind runs.
