Andrew Haigh (48951km):  5 categories      Coal Point, NSW, AU, NW 10-25 Stingray, Whisperer and 5.5m. Some crazy strong gusts and a few patches so light i couldn't get going. Blasted up to Valo, chatted to Boston then on to Marmong for a snack with Byron and Sue, then a blissful magic carpet ride back home.

Byron Mcilveen (63644km):  6 categories  Teralba, NSW, AU Cracking sail gear choice spot on. Falcon 115, s2 venom 7, select v max 35 Ventured down wind to Marmong Was very consistent and stronger best speeds around 35 in chop down there. Came back up wind had lunch when Andy and Geoff came up went back out but became very gusty then still doing some mid 34 . Felt so fast in the chop today hopefully My back pulls up ok I think I went a bit hard still weak and unable to jybe with any conviction. Hope to foil and try my new 8.9 out in next few days. | ||||||||||||||||||
sboardcrazy (24363km):  1 categories 10-30kts NNW-NW Teralba, NSW, AU 5m gator - WT64 -31cm Select pointer few runs 5m Gator- WT 85ltre magic bullit 20cm centre fin That's the best sail I think I've ever had at Teralba ,a handful in the gusts but pretty consistently strong at times. I thought I had a big board PB the GT31 was saying 27.5kts.. 1st use of the 5m gator and it went great.
My partner has just got a video camera and turned up to get some footage.. I thought it would be a lousy session but it's probably the first time he's seen me fully powered. Changed from the big board to the waveboard and back. the big board was easier to get going , go upwind and faster but even with me crouched low to the water with all my weight on the rail it was starting to get lifted in the strong stuff. I just went upwind slowly to keep control. I probably could have got a better 2 sec if I hadn't been so overdone. I wasn't game to bear off too much in case a big gust threw me over the front..The waveboard was a lot slower and took a bit more to get going but was such a buzz in the big gusts! Got a bit too much near the end. Few yodelling runs on the little board.. I'm pretty happy with my sailing..I was worried how I'd go on the little board as I hadn't been on it since last summer but I got all the gybes I went for. A WT57 with a 4.5m sail would have been perfect out there today.. I was glad I had someone to hold things as I derigged in the strong wind.. Just Byron ( who my partner said made me look slow..grr I'll post a few still shots when I get the video edited..
