1322 days ago 1 categories A wild Wello S/SE Wind 'special' all for Father's Day: At times the gusts exceeded 22knots amidst the lumpy seas. Slipped up the face of a big wave only to notice the huge hollow that followed the lip of it. "Oh no", I cried, "this is not going to end well.." Landed softly, but too into the wind to recover from the landing and crashed! Back into it again quickly. The roller waves came into their own as the tide ebbed to 1.5meters, but then the wind had its fickle moments, and at times the 4.5m2 sail was too small.. Retired for the afternoon around 3pm. The wind blasts returned after 3:20pm, making for excellent flat water speed sailing conditions for those who dared. Alas, my aged body was spent!
