Played in the washing machine and then waited for the tide to come down and had some good runs until the wind dropped off. Good to be on the water. Got some windsurf tips for equipment off Ian which was great.

Day 2 N/NE - N/NW: Reload of yesterday (?) so went out with same rig: Fanatic F114 and 5.8m2 sail, around midday on the rising tide with Jayson and Ian, only to find it all too rough and lumpy in multiple directions, especially for the big board and a light sailor. Swaping to a smaller fin didn't improve things much so came in and changed to smaller gear. Had some lunch in the meantime, then set out again around 1pm. By this time it was full tide (and I mean FULL tide) and a little stronger in the wind. Handled the chop OK but there were some deep trough waves coming out further. If one managed to clear the first peak, the second one was guaranteed to wipe you out. Had a few hard falls. Almost regurgitated my lunch! Fortunately no turtles today. Smile

I did enjoy parts of this sail, and even threw in a few aerial feats, but the body started to fade and I was dropping my gybes. Found myself puffing on a few of the more extreme runs out. The late shift had the better flat water, but then the wind started to drop off around 4 ish.

Cool pic of you at Noosa there Steve. And not a bad looking alpha either..

Wellington Point was the worse I've been in for a while for a Northernly. Washing machine as ben said was an understatement especially on the full  falling tide. Chris even tried the NE side of the sandbank, I'm guessing to get some decent ramps for aerials.. Did anyone see any?

Good speed on the ocean Steve. Even sharks can not catch up ( unless you miss a gybe, but you didn't miss a single one, so is all ok) Cool
