0- 15-20kts NNW- then 15-25-27kts WNW with crazy cross chop from 3 directions at once Coal Point, NSW, AU

 11.43 - 2.10 including sail changes

7.5m GT Turbo- WT64 - 32cm WT weedy

 then

 6.6m KA Koncept - WT64 - 32cm weedy

One of those sessions where you wonder why you bother. Undecided

It was blowing 15-20 when I got there so I carried the 7m down. By the time I got the board it was 5-13kts so I went back and risked rigging the big sail.

Changed the 34 pointer to the larger area 32 weedy.

Underpowered plodding except for a few puffs and spent the first 30mins working upwind to get some safety margin.. My harness line broke so I had to forgo all that to go back in and change them. Yell

Lucky it happened when I was slogging! I would have been in trouble if it went later on when it kicked in, no way I could have held the sail to get in..Undecided

Back out mostly underpowered but some 20kt patches started to come through and I had a scary run back from Wangi and into the launch for the 2 sec. It's only a narrow spot between jetties and has rocky outcrops to avoid so it's not the place you want to be bearing into at 25kts plus..Frown

Had lunch and then battled with the 6.6m KA.. Stupid thing wouldn't rotate properly but I took it out anyway..I had rigged for the 20kt gusts but by now it was a pretty consistent 15 gusting to 25-27kts..Surprised Throw in the worst cross chop I've seen coming from 3  directions , too much sail , too much board ..and you get the picture..Undecided

Went out , dropped in and turned around , had to kick the stupid cam to get it to pop and then a scary run back in..Those WT's point too well Wink..even trying not to go upwind I found I had to bear off for the launch which I didn't want to do in those conditions..Another 25kts plus which was too b fast for those conditions..

I managed to keep it together but after Hugh did his foot in last session all I could think of was me going the same way in those conditions..I unhooked for the last little bit but trying to slow down and aim for the narrow launch I  ended up with the board upside down and my back foot twisted while still in the strap.I was ok but it could have been an issue..

I ended up swimming the last little bit in as it was too strong to riak sailing.

Maybe the waveboard and 4.5m might have been controllable but I'd had enough and I didn't trust it to not die..Teralba next time..it was only supposed to get to 20kts..Undecided

Andrew at least looked to be enjoying himself although his last run in with the big sail could have been interesting..

Andrew at first then just me and yachts..

Coal Point, NSW, AU. NW 3-20kts

Stingray, Whisper, 8.0 Skyblade then 5.5

Up and down gusty westerly. I used to hate these conditions, but foiling makes everything fun.

Could have been on the 8.0 or 5.5 for the whole session.

Oooh I see I have clocked over the 30,000km

Foil falcon, starboard race, duotone 8.9

Quick 1.5 hr sail before work was very up and down but some nice strength in the brease and powered up doing upwind down wind coarse .

Thanks Steve. It's a slow process climbing the distance leader board. I am doing about 4,000 a year.

Well done on the 30k milestone Andrew, 4000 per year or 80 kms a week, that’s a great average
