Foreshore Rd, Botany, NSW, AU. 122L RS5, Severne Reflex R8 6.2m, Vmax 42cm carbon (1 slow run on JP Slalom60 92L, 34cm JP). Gusty old westerly, mostly ranging 20-30kn, although one gust of almost 40kn!. So patchy that went with the big board and fin, but it seemed to handle it pretty well. Some insane runs on a 76cm wide board, trying to keep it on the water. Yell. Started to get p[retty choppy towards end of the runway. Would have sailed longer but I was the only one out and din't have Remi there to rescue me Wink. Nice to finally get into the 33's. Max was 34.1kn.

Primbee, NSW, AU || 15-35 WSW

JP69/ Koncept 5.2 speed/ MXR22-45 & Patrik95/ Fangy 21 speed

challenging but good fun, too shallow for jibing, lots of stops. The Patrik went pretty well with the small sail , does not feel draggy or heavy, and also the fangy fin was faultless, not even 1 spinout in some bouncing chop and big gusts. Great to see my team mate Berowne and all the friendly faces.

Wow that was windy, and not.

Arrived at 9 and rigged up as MT was packing up (injured).

Decided on my 5.0 as I have only used it once before. Went to rig it. Mast 400. Luff 404. Extension 48. Didn't fit! Thanks to George for the loner!

17cm Spweedie screwed into the oversized 90L iSonic. Really need a 70-80L Speed board in my quiver.

Forgot to turn the GPS on for the first run, which was terrible anyway. Man it has been a while since I've sailed with such a small rag. Adjust boom height, outhaul (manual) harness lines... and after a few runs got my groove back.

Then the wind died for about 30m - enough for Mark to head in - and the wind picked up again. And built. And built. And built!!!

One run I sailed INTO one of the white mist gusts that moments before had knocked someone else over! Scary!! But the little 5.0 was awesome! Glad I didn't go bigger. Then the wind faded and gusted and etc and I should have uped to 5.5 or 6.3, but the gusts were still pretty solid so I didn't.

That gybe was awesome! So smooth and flat.

That NM was scary fun.

That 100k was exhausting. Still grinning :)

Couple of guys cracked 40 today, just not me. Tim tailed me and reakons I had the right angles (DEEP!!) sail position etc, just too much board.

Good to see a full carpark and about 20+ on the water. One kiter had a 4m!

cannot believe Remi sailed from Kurnell in that wind with a 6.3 instead of wave gear and made a better alpha in the chop than everyone !

Great numbers by all. Good to see the team sailing in different spots. Not sure how you managed to hold on to the RS5 in that wind Jules, well done.
