1302 days ago 1 categories  Nelson harbour - Northerly 20-30knots against the tide made for a choppy session. Took out the DW34 fin to see if I could extract some speed out of it. Still not very fast compared to my normal Venom34, it was well behaved though.
My turns have really improved in the rough stuff and I was hitting it at full speed. With the harbour being 200m to 500m wide I got lots of turning practise today. Sailed up to Akersten St from the Yacht club, got tired so thought it best I get back before I ran completely out of gas.

Miranda (10103km):
1302 days ago Motukarara, Canterbury. Fanatic Falcon 90L, Severne Overdrive 4.5m, C330 fin. NE wind, gusty, speed up and down. Wasnt my best performance and no excuse except for me loosing my nerve. Was underpwered for first half of session, switched to larger sail, wind increased so switched back and was glad I stayed out. Knackered now. First time using the 4.5m sail.

1301 days ago Motukarara, Greenpark huts. Got there a bit early, should of waited untill later as when it finially got windy i was feeling it. Still continued as i couldnt help myself when the wind picked up. Even with low energy still managed to get some good runs in knowing i cant do these speeds on the estuary. Dan M and Aaron were flying. Water still rather shallow but just enough untill it blows 35 knots plus. Hopefully more sessions to have here before they drain the lake again. iSonic 44, M1 5.5, Mykz 220

1301 days ago Christchurch Estuary, NZ ..100L/64W, 7.0, 37cm & 80L/55W, 7.0, 23cm ..waited around a long time for the wind to pick up and it never really did, was always a bit patchy, but I still had a really nice sail around, best so far this season.

A little bit of a waiting for wind game but got some good gusts towards the end. Wind was a little east so a bit too much up the backside for most runs.
A little bit more wind would have been nice but good to do some runs out there know this is sailable. With a little more water the track will be even better.
