Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU ca66 Kar 7.1 fangy 21 speed & Mistral speed 95 kar5.5 fangy 20 Very low tide and direct north We had a small session the opted for morning tea which eventually became lunch and enough tide rise to allow Mike and I to go back out. The wind was building so after a couple of hours we came back in to change down . I hadn’t used my 20 fangy so gave it a go on the speed board. The wind was marginal for the combo but good in the bigger gusts. I reckon it’ll be good at Albany or Lake George in a consistent breeze. Not a lot of kms but a top day had all round.

Well that was a good guess, thought I'd hit 34, but 5X10s wouldn't be fantastic.

2 rigs, started with the 55, 6.2 and waricleised fangy 20, then the 48cm, 5.7 and my 19@55 when the wind picked up.

The Fangy 20 easily handled the 6.2, probably could have gone with a smaller fin.

Another GW60 fail, end of the buckle detached, and I just caught it before it fell off my wrist. Waricle and I had launched at Glory holes about quarter of an hour earlier. But tide was a bit too low and wind a bit light, so we came back for lunch and waited until there was a bit more water and wind.

Wind had a lot of North in it, good for shortish downwinders, in fairly flat water, (some people would say very flat)

Thanks Pete that was a great idea, really enjoyed it

JP 135 Foil, Simmer Enduro 5.9, Super cruiser 1700 wing for 53km then 1300 for 52

Big day on my own, First session was a bit frustrating with some big holes in the wind and lots of lines of stringy weed on both sides of the estuary. This was enough to scrub of a couple of knots and mess with stability so had to keep stopping and sailing backwards to clear it. Some of the gusts were getting quite strong so went in to change down.

Had a message from Bob to say he had been watching and had to go blouse shopping to warm up.

Ended up only changing down the front wing which worked out well. As the wind shifted a bit I was able to miss most of the weed lines which made for a much more enjoyable and stable flight even if I was a bit overpowered in the gusts.

Can someone tell me how to turn off a pop up blocker on windows as I cant post my tracks. TIA

Sorted

I stopped by on the way home to watch you guys for a while after lunch. I haven’t been to GH on such a low tide - it looked sweet down where you two were having a crack and I was well envious! Good catch on the watch and the sesh fellas :-)

Good guess Mike. The fangy 21 speed we both used got a good workout in the too-shallow water earlier today and I got a good workout trying to start a speed board in not enough breeze later this afternoon....
