Mackay, QLD, AU

maybe shortest session Ive ever logged. Got to beach choppy, gusty 12-18kn, couldnt decide whether slapper or foil, then noticed I hadnt packed the harness...doh. So foil it was. Nice little play with the 1200 foil and 5m Tricera, very playful but Im such a softy now I couldnt stay out long without the harness.

Late sail after work was a bit lumpy on the outgoing tide.

Port Douglas, QLD, AU..Got home from work at 3 oclock and saw my new second hand 105 Fox laying in the car port this is my third one it look ok and i was keen to take it for a quick blast..Got down the beach and it was windy enough to blow a dog off it's chain with some big gust out wide..Rigged 6.5m Turbo cranked down to the max as that was the smallest sail i had..New Fox felt great and was doing what a Fox does best in a very chopped up sea..Was having a good blast but was totaly maxed out when the  big gust hit all good fun..The plan was to get a few kms in before dark.. And thats about when the 'fun ended' had a total panel blow out just above the boom on 6.5m Tubo  when a big gust came through, and ended up in the drink in a tangled mess..This sail has done some hard kms and has got its fair share of sail tape on it but i wasn't expecting a'total melt down'..long slow and very uncomfortable trip back to shore from way out in the big pool followed by a long walk of shame as the sun went down to go get my ute and pick up all my trashed gear.'.Not Happy' cheers Ed..
