1238 days ago Lake George forecast looked good 17k at 12.30. Arrived at the spit around 10.30, only 5-8k rigged 6.5 in hope and wham it kicked in 20-22, rigged the 5-5 and had 3 great runs along the spit then it stopped as quickly as it started, waited an hour or more but it didn’t come in so packed up. We had three really good sails for the week and two were crap. The weed is close to the surface in many places but a 32 weedy was ok, could be pretty low by the end of summer

Was great to catch up with Carl for a sail. Got there early 9am to sail long into the day and hopefully clock up some decent kms. It started ok with 15-20 South but soon softened to 12-15. Kept waiting for a pick up in wind but it was one of those days where it just got lighter and lighter until 3knots was it. Tried a bigger board and 35 pointer but nup, could not plane. Still, i had the early breeze so happy with that. Me and Carl had a couple of frothies while waiting and then the light rain made the decision to de-rig. Good fun with Captain anyways, looking forward to a 25k SE day.
Cheers

Arrived at 2pm, lads seemed powered on big gear so rigged MachOne 7.0 and the i97 with BPR375. By the time I rigged it was droppping and wouldn't kick again for an hour. Then it was borderline, ok on the plane just not always easy to get there.
I beat up to the top pocket, and sailed there for about half an hour when a front swung and intensified the wind and got stupid choppy. Getting back suddenly got dangerous. Struggling to hold the 7.0m. I got home out of the harness and straps, and heard later Daishy, Rob and Stash had similar experiences. Not fun sailing like that, but glad to get the sail I did.
Good turn out for a day that almost didnt happen!

We had plans of which none happened lol. Early arrival with Hoppy to try and do some k's, hours and alphas on the low tide. The tide was low and light wind. Hoppy went out 1st to test and i followed to find a average breeze. I rigged small for the forecast and failed.
Hoppy did well. We met up and decided to head back to shore and rig up. I glugged back and had a long walk to shore and Hoppy managed to stay out and get the best of it. I headed back out on bigger board and still marginal.
For a second time we decided to head in and change to bigger sails and we headed out to be skunked again lol. Glug back and another walk.
I think i walked more than sailed. Great to catch up with Hoppy and always good to be on the water. Cheers for the beer and lets hope for more wind next time...
