Liptons short sail first after virus recovery.  Quickly fatigued but brilliant to be on the water, bit of a crowd = Windsurfing Royalty: Firie Bob, Peter the 25yo Danzy, / Immortals: Peter W. & Decrepit / Speed Legends : Stretch & Paulo / Intellectuals Prof Remery and a few riff raff

Peel Inlet, WA, AU

Perfect weather for a 7.0.

Of course I was using a 6.3.

A frustration relief sail at Liptons with a good crew.

Made the wrong sail and fin choice, should have gone with the 6.2 instead of the 5.7, and something bigger than the 23cm@ 40/60. the 55cm board was right.

There was a big trail of bubbles coming off the fin, and it felt very wishy washy, like bald tires on a wet road. had to baby it most of the time, but was OK in the flat downwind.

It doesn't fit well in the box, sits a bout 3mm below the bottom of the board, I'll get the fit right and see if that improves things. And try and get the 25@40/60 finished.

But I've got most of the centrelink induced frustration out of my system for the time being.

Rockingham beach

JP135, SB SC 1300, Force 4.7

A bit frustrating today, plenty of wind alot of the time but very holey. Also quite a few chunks of weed out there today and when a chunk of weed coencided with a hole in the wind it was full weight on the back foot to keep flying. Surprised at the speeds as not once did it feel that fast today.

I wasn't expecting much today but ended up having a nice sail, wind was up n down but hey nice sunny skies. Caught up with the usual suspects, great to see Hardie Ha Ha back on the water and to catch up with PD Cool  We did have the police boat shoot across the channel under lights and sirens but if they were chassing someone speeding it wasn't me today Laughing

Peel Inlet, WA, AU Ca66 mistral speed95 koncept 6.2 fangy 22s an enjoyable day out with a good crowd of team mates even if some didn’t sail they came to support and encourage those that did. Wind wasn’t consistent or strong enough to give good results on the mistral (for me that is) however a fine time was had by all. Happy days!

Peel Inlet, WA, AU FF89/SCR6.3.  Very gusty wind and too much westerly made for a challenging session. Still good to be out with Mike, Pete, Remery, Hardie, Bob, Paulo and a cameo appearance by Mr 25 Smile

Fangyland with Rod and Ken who frightened me by coming out hibernation before summer. Huey also turned up, albeit far too briefly. I just mucked around with some settings on the WT Cruise and experimented a bit. I had a small sphincter moment when inexplicably the front end boom clamp popped open just as I was crossing the boat channel.

Of course, just at that moment the wind died in the arse and a small convoy of boats, fresh from a liquid lunch at the Ravo turned into the channel.  I floundered around trying to make myself visible and get a sail full of water up and about in the only part of the estuary where I can't stand. I have no idea whether I was seen, no one appeared to pay me any attention, and they all went roaring past with the throttles wide open within 20 metres or so...

With the excitement over it was simply a quiet potter along some chop lines for a while and then a gas-bag with the wise old men ashore, which may have been the most enjoyable bit of the whole arvo.Laughing

I saw Waricle going out on the speed board after I packed up. So I parked the van in the first carpark hoping to obstruct the wind but... alas.

Stretch count me in. As long as you promise to be a dedicated employee and pull some big days at work rather than sneaking off windsurfing every time there might be a breeze.:-))
