Sailquik (29582km): Sandy Point. Vic. It was supposed to be SW to WSW all day 20-25knots. Ir was actually WSW 15-18 knots so just doable for me on IS97 and 7.0m sail. So peter and I cruised around for many hours. I feel brioken. And its all your fault Tricky. LOL! Great to have company from Peter J, Mat R and Peter. 2017 IS97, Tribal 34cm Speedweed, KA Race 7.0m. GW-52 gps. (The GW-60 watch went flat and I forgot to turn on the Motion. Old age....... ) | ||||||||||||||||||
Peter Johnston (8869km): Sandy Point, VIC. Good day sailing with Andrew, Mat and Clint. Not much wind so rigged new 7.7 Koncept and sailed it with my really old Naish Icon 130L slalom board with a Choco 33cm weed fin. I was a bit overpowered in the gusts so switched to my new 6.6 Koncept which was perfect for the conditions. Andrew and I chased each other around for hours and hours. He was always faster downwind but for some reason I was faster upwind and pointed higher. That Choco fin was terrific. Disappointed that our injured team captain Kato wasn't on hand with hot chico rolls and warm towels and to caddy our gear. So hard to get good help! I gather that this distance sailed by Andrew now makes him the top old codger in the world!! Congratulations Andrew!
