hoppybogan (25813km): Stansbury, SA, AU Late afternoon sail Snuck down late after work to sail the SSE breeze. Didn't bother Trick as he will be organising Chrissy with his family. Thought i would be the only one out, but Simon had just come in and Luke had already packed up and was leaving. FF85, GPS6.6, Choco28. RIP HSM GPS 6.6 Pink, i was sailing along in the 20 knot breeze and POP went the bottom panel. She's buggered. I kept sailing with it and funnily enough it was faster off the wind with the bottom panel blown out. Probably did 40ks with it like that. Anyway Merry Christmas to all of you, especially the Bogans who i believe will be the winners of the Australian section of the GPSTC this year. I am proud of all of you's. | ||||||||||||||||||
Trousers (14352km): Twas the night before, at el bog, chasing the PM seabreeze. Gusts to 18kts with a bit of SE in it. Big gear sailing with Chris D. Was a good sesh, except for when I dropped in the deep section in a lull and took fifteen minutes swiming before I could get the luff panel to drain. These massively-luffed race sails are incredibly stable, just dont let them submerge! [edit:fixed gps maybe?, post for real now] Merry Xmas bogans, it's been one hell of a year, but I been sailing through it with friends. And Hark! Now here's the summer sailing season. Bring it on. |
