Started out nice & manageable and then turned nuclear after we changed down boards & sails.
Watched the WWA juniors cutting up the Chanel. We have a new member. Met a Bunno sailor and had a maiden sailing. Witnessed vintage WT speed and met an old sailing buddy from years & years ago.
It was a great day but the wind was just too much.

Either way, it was nuking!. Fun early on with a 6.2 OD M2 then change down to a 5.5 while I was wishing for a 4.0m.... do they even make those?? They should for days like today! 41 knots in the seabreeze, beyond my pay grade unfortunately. 45 knots came through after we left the water....mad day.
Early on, the juniors were out having an absolute ball, got to say, that what its all about. The grins all round is really contagious.
Later on, the mad wind hit and it was a scramble for the smallest sails on offer. Jason and Dave who I have sailed with for over 20 years were smashing it, then the captain Dave was zooming around, then Ben (aka Nebbian) turned up after we were all destroyed and showed us how high wind sailing is done!! Welcome Ben!! pleased to have you onboard!
