Lake George, SA, AU .Pleny of excitement today .Its been 11 months & 4months since I've sailed in anything more than ~ 15 knots.

Prediction was for 20-30 -slowly building as the afternoon progressed .

Gear Iso 80 tribal delta 18 then 16 Evo 7 6.4 then 5.8 

Made 2 fatal mistakes today 1.Got on the water too early (couldnt resist) 2.-Rigged at 5 mile where there was no flat water so promptly sailed off to the spit where there some nice weed patches  & potential alpha zones then realised what a task it was going to be sailing back to the car -a massive energy sapping journey -agghhrrrr

Derigged /got the gear in the car & headed to the spit where it was frothing -literally ..!!Changed down to the 5.8 -charged off past the 2nd island then bang on the gybe exit-mast broke/big hole in the luff sleeve & an almost hr walk back to the car .Gutted & physically had enough so retired early .

Lots of sailors looked to be going very quickly so expecting to see some solid numbers .

Good to see Chris Dimond who rigged along side me at 5 mile -he looked good out there today ..!!

Covid may be about to put an end to this little journey 3 days sooner than hoped
