Sailquik (29582km):
1189 days ago Sandy point, Vic.
A gusty 20-30 Kt WSW wind with the tide starting to come in.
I assumed there were squalls to over 30 but looked like there were big lulls so I went with 5.2m and IS80 slalom. I was underdone most of the session, and the gust wind didnt help. One second I would be powered on the run, the next I was falling back and trying not to oversheet. I should have had the 5.7m.
But it was a fun sail anyhow, especially watching some guys blasting around on a Gemini Tandem. Apparently, there are currently 3 gemini Tandems at Sandy Point this weekend and the guys are trying to organise a race tomorrow! Whooohooo!!! 3 in one place!!! That must nearly be all the Gemini Tandems in Australia!!
I'll try to post a video of it in the comments.
