Green Island, QLD, AU  Fun half day sesh with B1!  Wind 15~20kn is my guess, S-SSE shifting about...

Not the usual magical waters today with the huge tide, super rough conditions & low visibility.  But we knew it would be better than the mudpit!

"Flying Blind" runs mostly- found it a big big challenge to crack 30kn with barely any time on the speed run (2)...  Just got there in the end...  Even bigger challenge for the NM- had to check my teeth were still in place after all the chattering slapping through the washing machine chop.

All in all, a good day had in good company, with no damage done, in Tropical Far North QLD! Cool

Used the Exo Turbo 106, Severne OD 7m R4, Tribal 35

No Bob, not nice....my goodness, a drive along the Cribb Track with broken suspension would have been more comfortable Surprised!!! Desperation sail with B2. With the local mud pit washed away, and all sorts of debris in the water from the first rains of the wet season, it was off to our local idealic holiday island.

Hit the rigging up area and watched the water lapping the bottom of the walkway, the tides were that high. Mien Gott....so up upt camp and had to head over to the most eastern point (200m walk Wink) to just be able to sail off the beach. Massive tides meant the entire reef was available to the intrepid venturer's, but it was very quickly apparent that it was never going to be a pleasant day on the water Wink. I think you get the picture. I lasted an hour, not much more. After a 6 week hietus and a xmas fitness factor of -5, it was only ever going to be short. B2 had a cracking session. You could see the determination on his face to crack 30 in those conditions and congrats mate, you did it. In shifting wind conditions with all of the incoming fronts, was a very impressive effort. Two thumbs up.

Still, overall, happy I got out and made the effort. Used: CA SL Custom 107, 7.0 ODM1, 36 Tribal Mk1.
