another fun day sailing, except hard work getting back in and the walk thru the mud is yucky.  Lucky the sailing is awesome!

10-22kts SSW -S 5 mile to tthe Spit Lake George, SA, AU sailed 2-6pm

6.6m KA Koncept- RS2 (90ltre) -21.5cm FF ( cutdown 24)

Simllar to yesterday but a bit lighter and patchy at 5 mile.

I decided to head down to the Spit. Easiest trip I've ever had as it kept pretty constant all day. It picked up a bit for tthe way back but never enough to be an issue.

On the way I decided to try for an hr. I hit bottom and catapulted on my first run over near the rock garden so I kept well out that side and there was a wind shadow over at the five mile side so the runs weren't as long as they could have been.

I've got old peoples disease and forgot what time I started plus I couldn't read the small type time on the GW60 so it was a bit of a guess.🙄😁.Hopefully I will get another go and do a better job!

I didn't drop a gybe but ran out of wind once when I went too far into Kevs bay area.

Wind was better down there and there were some good flat areas. I didn't go all the way as there looked to be less wind and the weed / bergs were pretty thick in places.

Called into  Cockies for a chat and snack and then back which was easier than I expected. I'd done 50kms by now so after a rest I went up to the top to play in the glass.I got one powered up gust on about the last run to get the 2 sec.

I want to relearn the strap to strap gybe. I got my alpha PB doing one but have been doing step gybes ever since. I figure strap to strap will be better heree and on small gear and maybe get me a better alpha.

I've been avoiding trying any for fear I'd hurt myself but bit the bullet today and they were dry. Some pretty shoddy ones but dry.. I'm ok entering , flipping tthe rig but then when I change feet I upset the board trim.. Any tips much appreciated.

I would have liked to do more distance but both the wind and I ran out of puff.

Andrew , Nic , Chris and someone else this side. Daffy , Martin , Jill and Andy at Cockies and some people at the Spit.

Thanks TK! Pretty close, 27.6 is my best with that wing. It's a marvel. Fast and easy to fly. Love the 550 but it takes some heavy duty back foot pressure to keep it flying.

Watch out for fishing nets! There is one about 400m out from the waterlevel launch site running parallell to the shore. I noticed the buoys yesterday but didn't realise they were connected!Surprised
