1162 days ago Liptons Glass, Light seabreeze when I arrived but acres of glass, so I rigged and got out, Wind was about 10 to 14kts and when I could plane and get into the glass the feeling was sensational even if for just a couple of hundred metres (those lucky bastards at Lake George that have km's of it). The wind picked up a little to about 12 to 16kts. That feeling of going nearly double the wind speed on glassy water has to be one of the best feelings in windsurfing. Wish I'd had bigger board at least and maybe bigger sail?

I know I say it every time but it was fun even though it was short but sweet. I wasn't going to sail, overcast with a hint of drizzle but then some sun, ok off to the Spit, got there and only Sue dogging to shore. Hmm maybe I got it wrong, I could see mobs at 3 mile and Team Jill at Cockies. No wind what to do, got a little breeze so rigged my biggest sail and board and headed out, had to pump like a mad man but got going although struggling to stay on the plane. Then hallelujah wind, turned and headed back, got nice gust and peak first run in. Had a few visitors but it slowly dropped, last run out struggled to get going and was lucky to get back to base. Stood in the water for about 10min watching everyone one by one drop off the plane, then I could hear a voice, it was the Child Bride saying come home it's Happy Friday Rum Day, yep off like a rocket.
