But perhaps with some skates under my surfboard.. Laughing

Thats dedication! Surprised

Is that area you sail, shallow with seaweed and flat water?

Hi Sailquik, yes the spot is covered by seagrass or seaweed (I don't know the difference, my captain Claus is the expert) the depth of the sea is greatly influenced by the tide and being a sand bank the seabed is not homogeneous so there are areas where you have a meter and others where there are 30 cm so if I'm not sure I prefer not to risk and use the delta but the last day there was a half meter chop and the delta was in great trouble, my board in the speed runs was totally out of control; for this reason on seabrezze I asked for information on a delta that holds the chop well. I subscribed to the tandemwind youtube channel and dream of trying the super flat water of your Lake GeorgeLaughing

Hi, in Grado Pineta there are huge amounts of eelgrass (Zostera marina) in many areas..

At lower tide you can have flat water in some areas but also so much eelgrass that the fin will not cut through it, only try to move it, so you have a lot of drag.. You can clearly feel the drag as extra pressure in the sail, the board will stay flat on the water, and when you gybe the board will often just stop and you will fly downwind on your back... Laughing

It is a great spot, but not an easy one and actually we are nearly doing the same speeds in the chop as in the much flatter water with eelgrass..
