1135 days ago 1 categories 2nd go with the Avi 5.5, wind was very up and down, but rigged for the gustws, used the 48cm board with 20cm@40/60deg.
Sail was stable in the gusts, but Liptons wasn't working very well, only intermitent gusts sot ino the flatter parts. Pt Grey was reportedly better, but I wasn't game to take the small board across in those up and down winds.
So disapointed with my speed, felt like I should have been faster.
Wind was improving, but my hip/back started to play up, probably due to the chop, So I called it.

1135 days ago Peel Inlet, WA, AU KA 59 freeride x koncept 6.2 & 5.4 TWS31 plenty of water, plenty of wind plenty of chop. Stood around talking and deciding what to rig, half rigged 5.4 then changed my mind and rigged 6.2, went out and decided the gusts were a touch brutal so changed down to 5.4 and had lunch then went out again for a few more runs then went back in and stood around talking some more. Had a go on Mikes new 5.5 Avalon race sail but was a little distracted getting his 48 speed board going. The sail was fine though.👍
All in all a very enjoyable afternoon.

Realy got to get myself a ~90L board!
Went out on the small board but because it was GAF went with the 7m.
Now in hind sight for optimum speed this may not have been the wisest chioce but it got me going and kept going through the many lulls, The bullets on the other hand were interesting to say the least, so the session ended up being a practice session for sailing overpowered, which ended up being a bit of fun and excersize for my butt.
Good fun
