Why such a short session you ask? weeellll...... First time I have used the new mini motion, so strapped the elastic strap round the upper arm and trimmed the tail back to leave a few inches hanging out. Took the first run, then after a few rig adjustments on the sand bank headed back, having to pump like crazy to get going. A few pumps in and I hear a splash... being the motion strap losing adjustment and the whole show falling off the arm and sinking. I quickly took bearings to a tree onshore and continued sailing. When the tide dropped further, I headed in, hosed the gear off, got changed and went for a walk a few hundred meters up the beach, as the tide was now close to everything drying out. Searched and searched on a bit of a random grid pattern and no luck. Started second guessing whether I was too far offshore, wrong tree, tide had shifted it. One last ditch search, started at the tree and just walked out directly into the breeze. Nearly stood on the thing to find it, it was hiding in a hollow in the sand. Thank god for the flouro orange strap.

45min and many km of walking soft sand and I am a tired but happy boy. Oh yeah, sailing turned out to be a dredgefest as well. WT SB72, 7.5 Ezzy,
