Lake George, South Australia.

Another lovely day on the lake. Not as much wind and we had hoped for but more than the latest forecast said, so all good. Smile

Probably low 20's top in the gusts.

There was quite a crowd turned uo for today, mostly from Vic so it was nice to see a lot of different faces and sails.

The wind direvtion was dead South which made working out the right direction for speed runs on Kev's bay interesting.

I went with Martins 18cm Ground zero to try with the IS87 and 6.3m sail and I think it was one size too small. I think 20 would be the sweet spot on this combo but it behaved very well anyhow. The 22cm version points upwind on rails, but is maybe just a bit bigger than required for downwind speed on this combo. I think the 18.5cm will be spot on for the IS80 and 5.7m.

I tried out the new higher spec Sony action cam today but had some teething problems so sorry to all those who passed and waved at the camera. I should have remebered to rainex the housing lens and I only got 45 mins of battery life where I get and hour more on the other model. I'll have to examine the settings for next time.

LG Foam Fest, Kinetic CENTURIAN, 100wide, 265long Formula, KaRace8.7, ATOMIC GroundZero24,  3rd time I have really taken this BEAST for a spin, was very dusty and I needed to take it thru the Beachport car wash with lots of suds n foam.   Once all clean it was ready to go slide about the Golden Lake and its Holy duck sauce fed weed.

...and slide it did as it settled in with a shorter fin under its massive bonnet, sweet as combo .

some more wind and this bohemeth is probably goinig to faster.

I flew in formation with Spotty a few times but unfortunately, by then my camera had run out of battery. Yell

I have to say it looked awesome in action though. Cool

Smokin Spotti....could be a Formula speed Record?..... that fin was designed more for 75-85 wide boards but good to see it works on the aircraft carrier.
