Port Douglas, QLD, AU

A very unexpected sail in Latte Land. Dragged Ed's sorry arse off the couch for an afternoon on the water. So wasnt supposed to happen, but gratefully excepted. A quick one, but none the less, in pretty good conditions except for the odd weed burg that sent me sideways a couple of times - really hard to see until you were almost on top of the damn things.

Left Ed to sail until sunset, racking up the K's. Great arvo with really unexpected conditions. 15-18 kts - gusty and really hard to hit a good top end.

Used: WTSB72, WT Phantom 43, ODM2 7.8

Port Douglas, QLD, AU. My good friend Billy came to Port this arvo with one of his 'Hot Rods' straped to his back and was keen to drag me out for a sail after work .There was  a nice breeze blowing and i thought it might be a good chance to 'road test' rebuilt '105 Fox number 3'..Got this board at the end of last seasion in  as new condition but some how Managed to totaly destroy it the first time i sailed it,Decided to rebuild it as i couldn't afford to throw it in the wheelie bin.. Rigged fully pumped  no cam 7m with 40cm fin and went and tracked Billy down as he was already carving it up on big gear and looking good doing some good down winders, way to fast for me..105 Fox felt suprisingly good, was still very light under foot  and felt strong, it  carved up the choppy sea just the way a Fox is meant too..couldn't tell it had a rather major rebuild which made my day..Had fun blasting around with Billy in a choppy sea but ran out of fuel just on sundown haven't sailed for awhile..Billy had a good blast and went home happy.Guess it was worth rigging up for..Am hoping my Fox will now be a keeper just needs a little bit of fine tuning with foot straps..All good fun cheers Ed..
