1076 days ago 1 categories  Kalmus, Cape Cod. First session on the slapper in 6 weeks. Poor timing today - went to Egg Island exactly in the half hour where the wind took a break. Got there ok, had a bit of power for 2 runs but a kiter was in the way both times, then slogged around a while. Wind picked back up on the way back to the launch, which at least made getting back reasonably easy. Used Ianovated open palm mittens today, and was nice and warm even when the sun was gone.
Tested three pluig-and-play prototypes today. Two worked fine, with the expected few single missing points at 10 Hz (OLA- SAM M8 and M5 - BN880). The third one (Clue - M9 - Gator:log) had a bunch of periods where 5-20 points were missing. Will have to figure out if that's due to poor code and garbage collection, or the I2C communication (the Adafruit Python libraries seem more primitive than Sparkfun's Arduino code), or something else.
