I think I walked 8kms of the total today. Very gusty and a few runs the best into the middle on a rare gust. Chatted with Ant for 3 hours and sailed for about 15mins before Ben, Jim and Scott arrived. Decided to walk out of the pond to the carpark which worked as a big gust arrived as I opened the Van door. Always good to be out. Falcon 56 Evo12 6.6 wp24

Super gusty session and lots of waiting in the mud for the bigger gusts. Beats working though :)  Good sailing with Woody,Jim,scott and Ben..Under gunned on the 53 Patrick,6.2 NX, 20ws.

First sail at the chook pond - thanks Ben for showing me the way through the mud to the pond! A couple of good bursts in the squalls. I can see the potential of this place on the right day.

Planned on sailing liptons but after hearing Mark, Ant and Jim were at the chook pond I headed to Coodanup. Flukey conditions. Rigged the 7.1 hoping it would be big enough to keep me powered up and not too large in the gusts, it was neither. An epic gust came through which I couldn't sail on, probably the same gust that Woody wished he was there for. As time went on the tide was dropping and the 29cm fin was a bit tall.

Good day out with a great crew and some moments of fantastic conditions.

Coodanup, WA, AU    Arrived to find Antman already hard at it and Woody just heading out.  Rigged 6.5 and headed out.  Before got to the xover point wind had died considerably.  Did the trek to the pond but was becalmed.  Waited 5 min and gave up and returned to get the big board and 7.8 sail.  Cannonball and SRS73 arrived and thought I was mad rigging big but went out anyway.   Wind was all over the place and a lot of chugging around with a few gusts.   Around 2pm the gusts started to get pretty brutal and was outside my pay grade holding on but then the wind came a little more consistent.  GPS was reading zero battery the last 10km so decided to call it but once back in the main estury was still alive so decided to do a longer run..this was a mistake as furthest from the van the wind decided to change gear and become epic...totally terrifying on the big sail...was all for nought as GPS died at the start of the long run...Apple watch odo had another 5km on it.   120 Tabou Rocket, 7.8 Severne Overdrive M2, 28 FF

Melville. No enjoyment today...blustery, cold, choppy, crowded and a sore foot!  I needed sails somewhere between 5m and 7.5m and boards somewhere between 80 Litres and 120 Litres BUT all in 5 minute periods.  Chop and gusts made gybing impossible for me and a large proportion of folks on the water.

Sounds like a typical winter session. Nice work on the speeds, Lads.

Scott, good to see you travelling to some places with potential for epic speeds. Sorry that today wasn't that day, but  35 is still good.

Flex, my right foot wasn't up to the Chook Pond hike so I ended up at Melville and had a horrible time.  I should have stayed home and watched STAN or Britbox!  Congrats on an epic distance, the wetsuit must work and well done the young "A" team guys (SRS, Ant, Woody, Cannonball) on some quickness in gusty conditions....flat water sure helps eh Scott?

Congrats on speed of the day, Woody, not much short of 38.

A 40 has to be coming up soon.
