Melville Beach, WA, AU.  Fun in the sun with Boz and Windxtasy.  Rigged 8.6 thinking a repeat of yesterday but wind came in way stronger than expected so spent the first 1/2 overcooked and couldn't hang on in the gusts.   Was thinking to change down but no time so hung on which was good move as wind eased off for the 2nd half.  Surprisingly few out.   120 Taboiu Rocket, 8.6 Severne Turbo M4, FF24

Headed down to the river thinking there might just be enough wind to get planing, and rigged the 7m to give myself the best chance. Wind picked up offshore and the 7m was quite a handful at times, especially gybing. Gusty as usual, but better overall than expected.

I was surprised to see no blue van when I arrived but Flex turned up soon after. Good to catch up with Boz and Colin also.

Fun little mission to Ducthies in a fresh sea breeze that was prolly gusting 22K.

Pretty consistent around 18-20K, so I was powered up on the 6.5 Turbo + 76 wing + 150 Levi.

Coulda got away with a 5.7, I was a bit over-juiced on the 6.5 (I gotta stop taking rigging advice from JJ  ).

Beautiful conditions with some lovely wind swell (buggerall ground swell) for some nice long downwind runs.  Enjoyed that
