Snides (28038km): Melville Beach, WA, AU quick (slow) sail in between kid duties. rigged the 6.4 evo 4/xfire 102/volt 32 but was getting smashed with too much sail and too much board. went in and swapped to the jp54 but was still getting hammered. so i decidde to rig a new (second hand thanks perks!) 4.7 evo 2 for a test out and tune...of cause then the wind dropped out resulting in a slog back to the beach where the wind came back as i unrigged the squirellville weapon (fingers crossed). all the time battling a much reapeating maccas strawberry smoothie.. still fun for a short sail.

Chris Adamson (14466km): Wintery day at Melville with heaps of people out. Should have rigged 7.0 ideally but 6.3 was light and easy in the puffs. Manta 49 / CL23 | ||||||||||||||||||
Slowboat (47697km): Nice day at Melville with the gang. Started on the same setup as yesterday, 7.8m 112 and CL35. Was nice and lit in the gusts and figured I'd be faster on the 7.0m after hooking a 37.8 near majestic. Came in and changed down to 7.0m and got out the Speed 55 with a 29 fin. Setup was smoking- mostly 38/39 with a couple of 40s on the dial. yeeehar one for each tack. Best alpha was on the outside, and NM was an accident- I forgot to gybe. |
