Great to sail with the gang at Yamba, NSW, AU today.

Very up and down, gusty today, plenty of dredging but nice to be out on the water. No wind at the carpark end, so strange how that happens here. Started on the 9.4 and big fin but it wasn't long before I was feeling like I might get lifted. Rigged down to the new Overdrive 7.8 but kept the large board.

I was thinking about going in after 60k's of sailing as the wind seemed to be dropping, tired, etc. Then Darren pulls up and says "Lets go for 100!". I thought there was no way, but after a while the wind became more steady we were clicking through some k's. Had to dredge for the last 6 or so k's.

Yamba, NSW, AU. Falcon 140/ 8.6R8 / 43TWS. Dcided to go to yamba at 830 as Neil , Eric and darren were going to sail. forecast not great however better than local for the next 10 days. Was trying to a PB for 8.6 but just could do it. It was a handfull in the gusts with the 44 fin so went in and tried the 43 TWS for first time. GW60 played up on water in early afternoon with zero readings and GPS results only shows 5 Satellites during this time. Also had trouble getting Com port error with download.

Great Distance for Yamba Darren. You should be happy with over 32 knots from a 85 wide board.  The M2 overdrive must have good power Eric and good to see you back up for distance.

Great to sail with you guys and Shame about Neil's GW 60 watch band breaking.

Great speed Ian on the 140, you beat my 32.5 from last weekend on my 140. I hit a wall at that speed with the 45cm fin. I have something to chase now. Had the same com port error coming up on my GW60 a while ago and used a spare cable which seemed to fix the problem.
