Marginal conditions but planing most of the time, for the first hour at least. More tacking and gybing practice. They are getting less wobbly. A bit more wind would have been nice. I forgot to wear my sailing gloves today and my hands are so sore. Obviously they help.

Quick sail at 5pm on the way back from the Mandurah Drags - not enough wind at Mandurah for my equip but 20 knots (though droppping) at Safety Bay.
Good to say hello to Adam and Ricey.

Tabou 135 Severn 8.2 2 cam proto, choco 40 fin. Breeze was late and very marginal for gumbies like me.
Bit better than last outing down at Manadurah, at least I got out to platform and back without tacking my way back to start mark like last time.
No idea who was calling the shots at start line, everybody just up and went, no gun no nothing, very informal. Best way to be as no faffing about lining up.

Tried a borrowed RRD 80 relative to my Iso 76, both with 6.5 Turbo and 30 Speedweed. RRD certainly easier to ride in the small chop and gybed well. Think it was faster but not sure - my Garmin results needed a lot of editing (GT-31 awaiting a new SD slot cover so not in use at present).
Saww JJ rigging a after a slow day at Mandurah. Amazing how the wind strength changes so much in only a few kms.

Was really happy to be in the middle of the pack in the first race by the time I got to the platform. Heading back was another story! Should've gpne the pointer. Persevered and tried to tune the weedie. Hard yacka on the back leg.
Great turn out, good to catch up with a few crew and have time to chat. Great way to end the weekend.

4448 days ago very light, 5.8 and 79l mettams to Sorrento. Never seen so many poeple at the beach when its that windy. Got the last car park at the top of the hill. Has to carry gear over sunbathers. Hot and sweaty work. But very nice on the water, so light that the water state was smooth hardly any chop. Luckily only water started twice but not too hard.
Family comittmetns kept me busy Saturday and Sunday morning so figured i would stay local giventhe forecast.
