A fairly light and underpowered session with a 64 cm WindTech , 7m Ka Race and 32cm fin. I should have rigged big with the 72 cm board but remained optimistic ( Jon promised it was going to increase...I believe people...blindly)

Anyway had a hoot as usual. Just planing is fun.

Quick sail with Kenny, Winsup and a few others enjoying a day at Mellville, wind was up and down so rigged my very little used 7 NP 3 cam sail, mast totally wrong for this sail a 430 boom the good old ali wave boom so flexi compared to the carbon, made the sail like a piece of jelly very bouncy and flexi not so good to get any good speed out of it but areally comfortable sail never the less.Nicewayto start the month off.

Awesome foil session, 12-18 knots. The board is a hoot.

Flat rear deck so much better than rolled deck with the freeride foil.

Misjudged the depth a little. The tide was out...Tongue outLaughing

13-19 knot westerly with low tide. Probably better wind for foiling but wont be foiling at melville after seeing 2 foil run aground today.

Had the mast track too far back so was spedning most of the time trying to stay upwind. Embarassed Moved the mast track forward and magically was able to happily sail upwind until the harness line snapped. The plastic tube was intact but it felt like sailing with a bungee attached to the boom so called it a day.

JJ a bit of duct tape, don't worry you weren't the only one to hit the bottom, the other foiler hit the outside bank pulled the foil through the box,

Cheers - yep Melville won today - who knew that it needs to be at least 1m deep Embarassed

I'll epoxy it up - it'll be fine. Don't want to waste such a slick board Cool

The Korean guy's tuttle box ripped out nice and cleanly - easy fix.

Good to see us on the board for September. Some decent numbers for very average wind. Surprised to see us #3 spot. Well done, guys.

JJ, did you not read my comment this morning about the tide being too low for big fins this afternoon? Ouch.

Ouuuch JJ. Good to her you walked away. And I agree with Boz, duct tape will sort that no problemo. Laughing

Fangy - Thanks I'm fine, although I do have a limp this morning for some reason Laughing

Andrew - It was an awesome session, granted the last 10 secs could have gone better...

Strop - The foil is good - they're stronger than the boards it seems.

Anita - Windtech are the Innovators Cool
