Lightwinder at Dutchies.
It looked pretty marginal, so I rigged big...M137 + 9.6 Code Red + 46 LE weedie.
Hard work getting on the plane to begin with, and I was a long way downwind on account of bearing off to get on the plane and stay there. Fortunately it picked up a bit and I found the pressure was better further out to sea, so after some long runs upwind I was back where I started.
The second half of the sesh was mint I don't use the 9.6 very often as it is a handful when over-powered, but it was in its sweet spot today, around 15-16K. My first ocean sail for the season, and I really enjoyed it.
Great to catch up with JJ, Boz, Neil & Hooksey.
