Another slimy sesh with Boz and a handful of the MMob.
Looked really promising early on then a belter rainstorm came through and killed the wind. Or maybe it was Jonski showing up
After some freezing wind, hail and gusty waits we called it quits.

The pathetic Fangy fence was on the ground and no one to be seen at Fangy land apart from Lunny who joined me shortly after I arrived. Distance an Hour was the goal and it was looking good in the morning, a nice consistant wind blowing so started with the 58 Manta and super weed speed 24, water was on the higher side so the weedbergs was not too much of an issue. Wind kept swinging a bit and a few lulls in the first hour. Quick break chat with the Mandurah Mob and off again to get the k's happening well this is were it went a bit astray, going for a run back to shore hit not one berg but two in a row, first one got me out of the straps but managed to just get it back when bang hit the second, off balance over I went. No damage so decided to continue, second mistake, massive squall hits when I'm out at the back and just make it back in survival mode. Decided for another break but this time the squall went and it went to next to no wind. Change of fin to a Delta 18 as I have never sailed a Delta, went out in lightish wind and the fin felt okay, was a bit concerned with all the talk about delta's and letting go so was a bit surprised when it sailed like a normal fin. Back to base more chatting and getting cold until Mike and myself decided to go for a loat as their was next to no wind, couldn't even stand on the board without it sinking. Mike and myself persisted and I noticed a few gusts coming through got on the plane for about 10 metres then bang out of nowhere a massive squall side off shore, water flat and just flying along through the bergs with no issues. Not that I could see them coming as it was raining/hailing so I've been told with only Mike and myself belting through. Best speed on this run with the Delta 18, great little fin didn't let go felt super comfortable and gybes like a normal fin.
Great catching up with Lunny and the Mandurah Boys as well as a late visit by the Strop who contemplated going out but thought the better of it.

I've had enough of winter. Gusty, rainy and cold. Let's hope that's it.
