Otts was definitely our barometer today. He spent a lot of time chasing that 20 knots he had when rigging.

And no Otts, the Busso Boys didnt turn up right on time, we got there an hour and a half before we went out. Looked, hoped, prayed for the forecast wind with no result.....so a trip to Bunnings to pick up some supplies for other jobs on the weekend, then a spin back to GH got the wind finally coming to the party. Smile

So of course I rigged the wrong sail quickly (rig in the gust, sail in the lull), and headed out on the water first out of Dave, Chris and I. Drifted around slowly for what seemed like eternity then the wind finally arrived. Lots of fun, nothing spectacular but just stretched the arms a little. One big crash at full tilt that hopefully won the splash of the day competition.

Overfinned and under powered for most of the fun.

Good work Chris testing your big board on a day like today.

Dave, as usual, took the line honours. Well done team captain.

Out with the boys again. We had a sad view when we arrived so we did wot any bloke would have done and went to Bunnings. Had a sausage in a bun from the netball girls stall, steve spent up big on items the local Busso bunnings didnt have then we went back to mak a decision.

I honestly thought we would be going home dry but Otts finally persuaded the wind to come in so we rigged.

A little flukey at times but overall an ok session. I had a small scare that i thought my X9 boom was done for. No i didnt crash but whilst on the water i adjusted the boom length but didnt get both sides the same (NOOB) all sorted when id was back at the car PHEW!

Saw a lovely gybe STACK by Steve. So big the cars almost got sprayed. Chris was having a blast out ther on his 131 board and he was able to push it along real well with a corner too boot.

Last run with Steve where we were looking get back closer to the launch area we had a nice NM drag. Might have been my 26.3knt.

Off the water and having the customary brew i was the only one with dry hair. So i beat Salty man on that too!LOL
