Canadian Casey (2167km):  Too much westerly in the wind made for huge swell and no flate water. I tried a few runs inbetween the troughs but kept grabbing rails or having my leg knocked. It was also freezing cold water. Got there around 1:00 wind was either going to go 6.4 or 5.8, it looked like it was still picking up so went with the 5.8 om the 94L board which I think was the right choice as the gust came in hard. I didn't stay out for too long as at times the wind would completely drop out leaving you waiting and I didn't feel like getting caught out in the icey water.
