2755 days ago Another lovely day in Duxbury Bay. Wind was much steadier than the last 2 days, but a bit lighter (23 mph averages, gusting to 26). ENE direction was perfect for 3 mile "whole bay" runs, so I just had to give the hour a shot. Quite happy with the result - more than a knot faster than before. Nina kept working on Flakas, doing long runs with 5 tries on a single run, and another close call. Chris looked wicked fast, I bet he beat my top speed today by at least a couple of knots. XFire 90, TR7 7.0, BP WS 34. Switched to the BP type S 35 for a few runs at the end. That was fun and made it easier to point high and get to the really flat water on the far side, but the wind there was a bit to gusty and light for top speed; actual speeds were higher on the weed fin. Another great day, and there is plenty more in the forecast :-).
