BIB, CC, TX. Took half the session to get the Falcon 112 dialed in - the WD 33 was a bit too small, MUF SW 36 worked better. After also adjusting harness line length, boom height, and mast foot position, I finally found a comfortable setting, just as the wind picked up a bit. Switched to the Falcon 99 where the WD 33 worked well, but did not get comfortable until I had moved the mast foot all the way to the front. By then, I was getting a bit tired - sailing slalom gear that's not dialed in is a tiring. More wind in the forecast for tomorrow; we'll probably sail Bluff's Landing for a change.

Had originally planned on a freestyle session since the water is nice and warm now, but discovered that my Skate needs a repair in front of the back footstraps - right where the wood reinforcement under the foot pad ends, it seems. Another month of slalom ahead, it seems - and then I'll have to decide whether to fix the Skate or the Warp before the Hatteras trip, assuming the weather is warm enough for repairs.

Sherman Island, Rio Vista, CA, US

PD 115, LFB 7.8, Z SLM S- 39 -2

PD 87, LSB 6.3, 31 Chopper

15 knots lows to 35 knots highs wind range.

First session at Sherman Island this year. Cold water, gusty up and down wind and really bumpy. Tough conditions but good oportunity to do saome gear testing.

PD 87 is fun little board for sure, its just that it needs steady 25+ knots to keep it going for me. Can't wait to sail it in steady nuking wind...Chopper 31 felt solid on PD 87.

While Z SLM S- 39 -2 was working great on PD 115 in LaVentana, it felt just a bit small at Sherman fresh water and flood tide current.

Also did some stiffer and more constant curve mast testing on 7.8 blade and didn't like it. It felt slow on down wind runs.
