24-28 knots, choppy but better than yesterday. Didn't sail to the reef, maybe there was some flat water there..Dean would know, he was there for a while.

Another test run with Sailloft Ultimate sail. I think we'll get along quite well Wink.

Very short session (6 runs) at my office in Pamlico Sound, ended abruptly with a snapped mast 3 miles out. Big swim, huge. Hitchhiked home, then rescued what was left of my gear. Tough sledding out there today, but warm winds will always put a smile on my face. Made it home right at dark. I believe I now have the record for slowest Nautical mile. :-)

Was watching the wind readings and it looked pretty strong in the morning, solid 40 by the looks of it. Shame there was no flat water to take advantage of it. Bit of bummer to snap your mast that far out Dean, at least you can walk back it's so shallow. Wonder if there's any flat water down near Gull Island?

We tried at Oregon Inlet, just south from the bridge on the ocean side. It looked promising but wind died down by the time we carried all the gear to the beach. Run looked very short, like 200-250 meters but flat as a pancake. Also, current looked very strong. Like a river.
