Glory Holes WA. 18-23knt Westerly

RRD X-Fire 122 and F2SX XS, ReflexIII, various fins

First outing on the new reflexIII 7.8m. It rigged sweet straight out of the bag. Started on the F2SX XS and got a few 30's and one 36knt peak. i then plugged in the 122RRD as it seemed to be dropping off. After a few runs of i scrored a sweet slingshot and a 36.9knt peak. Very happy with the new RRD and even happiler with the reflexIII's. Sesh was ended when i snapped my x6 mast. Oh well i will be getting a enigma mast next week so the sail should get even better.Cool

Another very short sail out here.

Direction looked interesting WSW, thought it would be good for bear aways, but not sure about getting back upwind.

Rigged the 6.0 on the 53 with the 25.5, tested the water with the first run, angle down wind felt good and a 28 on the clock.

Thought "great there's a possible 30 here".

Wind seemed to die a bit as I tried to go back upwind, couldn't manage it inside the lagoon so found a gap in the reef and went outside. Very confused choppy water out there, but got to the southern end of the lagoon OK, wind seemed to die even more.

One short bear off gave me a 21, so waited for a gust and tried again, didn't seem any better so I kept going all the way home. did end up a tad better, gave me a 26.3. But not enough to entice me back out thru thru the reef, or a saw tooth inside the lagoon.

JP Slalom 76, NP RSR Eiii7.8, JP 46cm

After having to go to work once again whilst on holidays got down the run just before 5, rigged up went out realised very quickly it looked btter than what it was, also very quickly realised that my neck and back which had been giving me a bit of jip the last couple of days and had been grinding away definately wasn't appreciating going for a sail.

Wind was very patchy and there was a lot of weed around anyway for the pointer, So after 20mins on the water flagged it, quickly deriged and went down the road to the backcracker.

Some days are like that
