Same set up as tyesterday only did some work on my front footstraps before going out which made a world of difference.
Wind never really came in as it did yesterday, but had some nice runs, floating lumps of weed were everywhere, which made it a bit of a meander through the mess, hit a few at speed didn't seem to wory things to much although i picked some up going slow on a return leg which litterally stuck itself to my fin actually had to scrape it of with my mits,..very bizare.
Fun little redemption sail after yesterday

4483 days ago Unfortunately, the trusty avi 6.0 was ingetting its clew eyelet replaced. Didn't think I'd need it, but there you go.
Mission was to put an outside gybe marker in, to help us get back within 50m.
So put the 5.3 on the 53 with the 25.5, (has to be shorter now, I cleanded up a rock getting a fix on the rockgarden outside marker).
We got the marker roughly in place, bit hard to tell the best spot with wind so light. Did a couple of test runs, and got the 20kt alpha, quite pleased with that considering how underpowered I was.

4483 days ago 2 categories SBay @ my local this time .. I drove all day to try to make it for the arvo session.. got on the water around 4ish to found a good Perth crew milking the freeway.. the place was packed with everything (jjjjj what the change after the peace and calme), it did look windy, I was optimistic so used the biggest I had, 5,8 and the lile one 44 to start..had couple lasps struggling to keep moving so went back and change to the brother 50 (shoudda gone on it from start ) Most of the people had dissapeared by then, Lao was still trying hard (thank for the test drive on that strange object , felt good)... I lost precious time, the wind was dying... done a couple laps on the 50 then the mast head snapped (nb 4 sail that does it!!), faaaaaaaaaaaaake what now.. long walk back to shore.... I though be positive stay cool.. next option was the Crashy 5.5 TR7 (thats all I had in the car from the trip), was just enough puff left to keep moving with it.. I struggled another hour trying to figure it out that sail, could not get confy, they look good but they are sooooo flat, too flat for me!! (feels like the sail would not get balanced).
Session today felt extremly slow & water very easy to sail after my previous 2 days on the 5m. Still happy to managed to milked some speed out what the Perth boys left me... thanks for the crumbles guys . Shame did not get a chance to catch up with the Perkins family, everyone was on a constant move..
Back to work for me.. So good luck to ALL for the LOC, be missing it again!!

4482 days ago Augusta, WA, AU. Down here on holiday for a week. Had the trusty old North 7.3 mtr on and my Gladitor 95. What a hoot! sailing in the inlet dodging tea baggers! Dead flat, a bit gusty, but some good spedy bits!
