Top Ten Fangy Day with a a big mob, (weirdly I didnt know most of them!) I wanted to sneak in an early session before family Xmas commitments.

Vintage 1993 Missy Edge. Koncept 6.6 and Frangameister18. 

I was a bit under done to start with but when I was coming in the wind was building nicely. I am expecting some big numbers from the A-graders - Hards, Stretchy and 'Ken..

In the absence of any Capn Calm team directive to ignore i got all confused as to my purpose in life. In the end I didn't go for any bear-aways today because I really, really wanted my Xmas pressie alpha. Which I got.

YES YES YES!! 25knots alpha at last. Stoked!

(the PB made up for being sprayed by RayGun and Stretchy every time i was in the drink - anyone would think those two were on a mission to be the biggest bully of Fangyland - it was disgraceful the way they were picking on me)

Fangies, WOW what a day, windiest seabreeze of the season, overpowered on my 6.3m changed to 5.5m.  Water was choppiest ever seen it at Fangies and I reckon dangerous in places, that NM I earnt every knot, certainly not the usual flats of Fangies.  I think there was a positive storm surge and some of the weed had died off with such low tides.  Anyway Sammy and I were on a mission so we went for it, we took risks and it was adrenalin overload stuff.  Feel like I broke thru a psychological fear barrier today.  Tabou Manta 54 started with TR-9 6.3m and Delta Slalom 20/55, then changed down to TRX 5.5m, and Pepeweed 20/48. Still got adrenalin pumping thru me!!!

Coodanup, WA, AU. CA52/Tushy5.8/vector weedspeed23.  fantastic sail today in a strong breeze and a wee bit of chop -adrenalin pumping stuff on the bear away!!  was really pleased to crack 40 on the cA52, thats my pb for that board.  also a great chrissy present to crack a 26kt alpha. 

Fangy, congrats on your alpha - terrific stuff!

Vintage plastic Mistrall Electron. 4.5m Pryde  Alpha . Decrepit 190 fin.

Rigged my 5.8 KA Koncept first .Then wimped. Glad I did .The wind was stronger than forecast and the water was the roughest I have experienced at Fangies.In the stronger gusts the 4.5 was about as much as I could manage.

Finally ,by the barest of margins cracked the 30.

Saw a lot of very happy campers fairly flying.

Fangys.. choppy as hell!

I think the tide was nice when we got there, but we faked around too much, then set the 5.8, which was too much, waste more time changing down, by the time everyone has left and tide was up 

Quite amazed by the numbers, because it was bumpy as, too dangerous raison I done only 2 NM. Quite happy, the mission was a 36.. got 35.9 oh well its a pb anyway

Very happy for my bod Hard one, he has done great concidering the condition

Man I wished would have been like the other day, wld have scored

That was beyond my capabilities tonight. shoulda tried to find parking at Liptons as the crew were flying across point grey.

Attempted to sail Novara but struggled to keep the board on the water and sailing in some semblance of a straight line, one run to the channell and back.

Great session in what can be described as the best conditions i have seen at the local. It was smooth as. I  only got 5 runs in and the wind dropped and swung into the dreaded southerly and it got realy shit. Spewing I was getting quicker evey run. A local 40knt Peak was on the card if the wind had held steady!!

More fun than a barrel of monkeys!  I like it when it's windy and today was!  Had to get off the water by 6 for christmas dinner but was happy to have enjoyed some of the wind.

Went out orignially with my 6.0 but had trouble with one of the the battens that kept popping off.  Felt windy enough to get away with the 5.0 so decided to give that a go.  Been so long since I rigged that small, but it was great. Had no lack of power and was really enjoing the smaller sail.  Not completely happy with my numbers but had bags of fun anyway. Fangys was choppier that I have grown accustomed to, so maybe I didn't quite get the pedal down as hard as I should have.
