Peel Inlet, WA, AU

RRD FW 7m, Pat F Race 120, Trib ws 35

Good afternoon sail with the captain and john. Good to meet Stretch and Firie came down but couldnt face putting on a used rubber. Conditions were a bit up and down but got some good gusts. Sorry about the alpha captain, not up to my usual standard.

An Absolute Joy to get out on the water again after such a long drought.

PS dont tell the boss where i was

Peel Inlet, WA, AU CA52/GPS6.0/Choco30WS.  Sailing with Lachy and Mike, Roger a late arrival. Jonski, sorry didnt get to meet you.  Similar experience to Mike. over a month since my last sail and I was feeling rusty and unfit, but  extremely happy to finally be on the water again!  Rigged too small and I was too lazy to change up. I did swap boards for my Falcon 113 for the last 1/2hr

Liptons with Stretch, Little Stretch, Jonski and Swindy.

Took a gamble and rigged for the gusts that only came as we packed up. Jonski made a mad dash for it with his little board but didn't quite make it.

So 48cm board and 24cm old weedy with the 5.4 koncept. The 5.8 would have been a better choice.

Tried for alphas, but it was hard to get a gust that lasted long enough to get you out of the gybe. Tried a couple of NMs, same problem with gusts.

But it's the fastest I've been for quite a while, so shouldn't complain too much.

Here's the watch results, just above my right elbow didn't work as well today, I was wearing my spray jacket to protect against the cold southerly. The way it bunches up at the elbow was activating the watch's buttons. Most of the time when I looked at it, it was saying "press start mode" with a locked padlock icon. I need a rethink about where to wear it with the spray jacket.

Firiebob's video for those of you who are like me and are too lazy to follow the link. The beautiful panning shot where Slugger farts a rainbow is my fav. Foot in mouth

Liptons, Firstly great session really enjoyed the long runs and felt really comfortable even having not sailed in a while. Took out the 110 isonic with the 6.7 code red for most of the session. However when Mike and Roger were packing up I thought I would give my new girl a quick spin and boy was that fun! I think we are going to be very special friends. She is a local girl having had a long term relationship with a mandurah local before a quick fling with a member of the Mob(possibly just a rebound) he wanted to let her go as he had since picked up another and wasn't going to ride both at the same time. Only got a couple of runs in before the wind turned off and I decided not to risk a long walk back.

Impressed Cap'n. I went down and had a look, the temperature gauge was reading 13.5. So I went shopping for a nice flowery blouse and a cardigan instead.Embarassed

Nice PB roger but you did take my one and only bean, bastard LaughingCool

Nice going guys, I did have a look but it was too bloody cold and raining, I just couldn't bring myself to put on a wet and slippery rubber today, I should have gone shopping with Fang Wink

I did see young Lachy flying around and he was flying, won't be long and he'll be passing the old man Cool

Not bad, but could have been a ripper if the gusts lasted longer. Looking at my track its not a very straight line. About 4 bear aways then the last bit heading upwind a bit to make it back to the start. Who cares, its a pb and a jelly bean.

Purple jellybeans, everyone's favourite Bob.

Need to put the glasses on, blue ones aren't bad either.

2 sails in 2 days after a drought & a few JB's to boot, nice one fellas.

Well done on the PB Roger Cool

Good to see you & Lach got a sail in Rob, I have a feeling you've been getting a bit toey about a lack of ToW. Not happy that you pinched the best 2sec for the month off me though Yell

Today looked better sailing than Tues down here, more Mizzle than driving rain, unfortunately I was stuck at work . Speaking of rain has anyone seen Evets floating by? I see Boddington has had 118ml of rain since 9am Surprised Surprised Surprised

As long he remembered his hi-vis, I should be able to spot him when he floats past tomorrow morning Morts. Do you want him sent back, or will you pick him next week when he has dried out a bit?

Best let him dry out & can you check that he's done his JSA, as I'm pretty sure that would be required by a mining company for white water rafting.

Nice vid Firie!

Nice vid Bob. There is one rule I stipulate to Lachy - thou shalt not go faster than the old man. I also rely on sabotage, you should see the crappy fin I put on his board!

Great PBs guys, thanks for the alpha back ups, they were very frustrating today, the way the wind backed off just as you came out of a gybe.
